Today, we’re announcing the opening of the very first Griffin Store ever.  Located in London’s Westfield Stratford City, the Griffin Store is a place to get hands-on with cool Griffin gear, check out new ideas and experience a bit of what Griffin is all about.  The store’s opening coincides with our 20th year of operation.  Needless to say, we’re pretty excited about it.

The double-fronted store, located in the Westfield, Stratford City shopping complex, is built to let visitors get hands on with Griffin products.  From test-flying HELO TC to dropping an iPad 13 feet in our Drop Zone (in a Survivor case, of course) to a kids’ area with our popular Crayola products waiting to create something amazing, the Griffin Store is as much a playground as it is a traditional store front.

“The opening of our very first store celebrates a huge milestone for Griffin Technology.

We have been leading the way in developing innovative and groundbreaking accessories for the past 20 years.  This store will allow us to share our vision and our products with consumers firsthand. And, with the spotlight very much focused on London and the 2012 Olympics, there’s no better place to unveil our very first store than at Westfield, Stratford City, directly across from Olympic Stadium.”

To everyone reading, thank you for making our first 20 years possible.  And we’re looking forward to years of innovation and cool stuff to come.

Griffin Technology started on the back dock of my company, U. S. Hospitality in the early 90s. I still remember Paul coming to my office and handing over the title to his MG (that’s an old sports car for you youngsters at GT) in exchange for $5000 to buy parts for his synch adaptors that were starting to take off. Needless to say, I got my $5000 back pretty fast and never had to hock that old hunk of metal. It’s been great watching Paul succeed and blow the roof off! At one time, we used to compete for high sales of the year between our two companies. Paul left me in the dust around $10 million LOL! Obviously, Paul developed a great team and great leaders, so here’s a toast to 20 years of success! Congratulations!

My employee dropped her phone this morning with one of the fancy military cases on, and the screen shattered! The phone dropped between 2-3 feet getting out of the car.
