My iPhone only ever wears Griffin, I’d love to talk hands free with a BlueTrip Aux!

  • Ken Gresko

I agree Josh. Hands free should be required for all drivers! It would certainly cut down on the number of cell phone caused accidents1!!

  • Paulm

Gotta have lots of great music and the right people. Heidi Klum comes to mind. :-)

  • lorir

Must have a gps, must have music, must have water (drink your water people!)

I would add, stay off the highway. Long featureless asphalt does not a road trip make.

As a music loving photographer, hands free enhances safety and rounds out the world!

Definitely be willing to stop at places you hadn’t initially planned on. Such as Wall Drug, South Dakota.

A Rocking Roadtrip definitly requires a good companion to share the experience with, an exciting destination (or least an exciting path to travel on the way to a less exciting destination), and fun mode of transportation (my Jeep Wrangler is my preferred way to travel), and last but certainly not least some excellent tunes to listen too along the way. Having access to a BlueTrip Aux would be an invaluable solution/addition to my final point which was having execellent tunes to listen too. Having the tunes is only half the battle, being able to listen to those tunes key. I’d love to win the BlueTrip Aux to use during my next Rocking Roadtrip.

Don’t just bring one iPod, bring at least two, or bring one if you have your own iPhone. If you have kids on your road trip, they will want to play games or watch movies, and you of course will need one for music for the trip. Also, your wife / husband / driving companion will probably want to be able to be able to help with the trip by checking maps on a GPS app for you or checking the weather ahead- that is when they are not playing Angry Birds. OH – and it would be helpful to have a tough case if your kids are small when on the road trip. Ours loves to shake the iPod for a couple of games and occasionally it goes flying in the car.

You’re either on the bus or off the bus. Somebody fire up the Dead!

  • Sugarpeasnursery

Stop for breaks and to enjoy the scenery up close. Its those times that you will remember, not the endless miles of road you are watching ahead of you. Take your Android and use the GPS. Makes it feel safer and you can guage where a good place to stop is!

Definitely plan your trip, but be flexible enough to enjoy the trip. Have some good munchies, plenty of water (don’t dehydrate), lots of enjoyable traveling music, a good GPS, auto recharging cables and great company!

And since you’re driving, be sure your car has had a tune-up recently, fill up your gas tank and be sure your tires are properly inflated – tires will affect your gas mileage more than you realize!

Plan at least one more day than you think you’ll need, use this time to intentionally ‘get lost’ some place new.

    Audio Books

  • Applechika6

Great tip for a good road trip, is to bring lots of music and download movies on your iPad!

After the rocking music, lets find our way with GPS to the all
best music cities like Nashville and Austin! Then we can really get it on!

If you can, travel at night. There’s better traffic, police enforcement is not as stringent, and there’s less heat and glare with which you have to contend.

  • Pizzajeans2

Listening to fun music that everyone likes makes a great road trip. Another tip is to take the backroads, it takes longer but is slot more fun!

  • MJPerez

Remember to pack a phone charger, road map and have cash available (good music is a must). Destination should be within 3-5 hours maximum. Look for special deals/discounts through work or travel agencies. An event or festival or theme park, usually make for the best stories!

  • ShawnaMichelle

I love road trips. My tip is to plan out how your going to get where your going by map, GPS, internet etc. If you get lost, find someone fast and ask them for directions before you get to far off your destination course.

  • Sabina Edwards

BEEF jerky , the key to keeping everyone in the car happy

  • Stepper997

A great roadtrip needs a destination but not a route. Don’t be afraid to stop at the side of the road when the place looks neat.
