How to change your iPad 2 signature

How to change your iPad 2 signatureOne of the first things new iPad owners will notice is the automatic signature: Sent from my iPad. The trouble is that not everyone wants to share this detail in every message.

Here’s how to remove the “Sent from my iPad” signature from outgoing email on your iPad, or how to change it with something more suitable.

I love seeing how people customize these signatures, for example our videographer, J’s reads: Sent from right behind you. My favorite is: Sent from iPad 2: The Electric Boogaloo.

Leave a comment with your favorite digital signature.

How to remove and/or customize the signature on iPad 2

  • Press Settings
  • Then Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • (on the right, near the bottom) Press Signature
  • Tap in the white box and edit the signature to add your personal touch or delete it altogether
  • Press the home button
  • Launch Mail and your new message will have your snazzy new signature

Share your favorite digital signatures in the comments. Thanks!

    That’s hilarious. Nice one. :)

I used to put my first and last name, my website address, and then Sent from my Mac/iPhone/iPad. But recently I’ve just gone to something simple across my devices:

    /chris

    That’s it.

When I first got it: Sent from whatever bathroom I’m in. My wife made me change that, kinda gross. So now it is

    Peter
“sent from the future, received in the past”

I think Jennn’s is pretty funny, I don’t think I’d change mine to the pPad though ;)

Your wife would probably deny you pPad after your first signature. :D

Wondering if anyone knows how to incorporate a logo into your signature…have tried copying and pasting, saving the image, etc., but nothing seems to work…

I’m not sure if it can be done on an iPad. There are browser extensions and add-ons you can use if you’re not using a tablet.
Perhaps someone else will have an idea on how to do this on an iPad.

Rebekah, I’m having the same issue. I purchased the Signature app, but I have yet to figure out how to incorporate it into your daily outgoing emails from the “mail center”. In order to utilize the signature I created with my logo below (it would not allow me to place it below text, when I inserted image, it was in a separate feild next to the text and when I opened it in an email, that’s exactly where it showed up…. NEXT to my info.) I would have to send each and every email through that app. It is very annoying and I don’t understand how it works. It was also $5 ! Kind of outrageous if you ask me, but if anyone out there knows how to use this app and is thinking, “this girl isn’t doing it right” please help!
