Quality Assurance Technician 1/27/2015

Job Description

Griffin’s Quality Assurance department is responsible for all aspects of product quality, including specification development, product testing and post-manufacturing support. As members of the QA team, Quality Assurance Technicians evaluate products to confirm that they meet Griffin’s quality standards. This involves evaluating pre-release designs, testing mass production units and helping to resolve post-production issues.

The Quality Assurance Technician position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager, but receives primary direction for day-to-day activities from the Quality Assurance Test Manager.

General Responsibilities

  • Assuming responsibility for ensuring optimal quality and functionality in all Griffin products
  • Accessing, interpreting and applying product design documents, quality specifications and test procedures
  • Testing products, materials and components to determine compliance with applicable material, functional and manufacturing quality specifications
  • Interpreting test results, documenting findings and making appropriate recommendations in Audit reports
  • Proactively communicating with Project Managers and other members of the Product Development team on issues of quality standards, test results and corrective actions
  • Tracking and managing task assignments, documents, Audits, reports and other resources in the Agile PLM system
  • Using and maintaining various test equipment and tools

Required Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with basic concepts related to quality, testing, design, engineering, electrical and other applicable areas, including: Basic mathematical concepts, Basic electrical concepts, Basic material and mechanical concepts, Basic quality concepts
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong reading comprehension skills; ability to correctly interpret and apply technical documentation
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to interpret data and test results
  • Ability to be self-motivated; and seek out assistance when needed

Back-end Web Developer 1/27/2015

Job Description

The Back-end Web Developer will create and maintain core application logic, databases, data and application integration, API and other back-end processes to support the functions of the eCommerce team.

The Back-end Web developer reports to the Web Technology Lead.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Collaborate and scope requested new features to Magento with the Griffin team
  • Develop extensions and modules for custom Magento and Wordpress functionality

Video Production Assistant 11/25/2014

Video Production Assistant position will be a part of the Griffin Creative Department. As such this position will be working directly with sales, marketing and tech support teams by assisting in creating video and motion media for internal and external use. Embedded Firmware Design Engineer 10/21/2014

This position reports to the Engineering Manager, and is responsible for the design, prototyping, testing and evaluating of Griffin consumer and business products.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, debugging, testing and evaluating of new and existing products in respect to embedded firmware
  • Timely development with milestones of each firmware application; keeping management abreast of any changes to specs or timelines
  • Provides instruction and guidance to hardware designers in component selection and design
  • Ability to work with vendors and contractors involved in development of products

Education and Experience

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • 3-8 yrs embedded software development in C; preferably in consumer products
  • Embedded experience, experience with limited-memory targets (8-bit and 32-bit)
  • Understanding of general processor architecture and functionality
  • Proficient in C (without expectations of niceties such as malloc)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics (signal connections, etc)
  • Experience with JTAG debugging
  • IAR Development tools a plus
  • Experience interfacing with Apple iDevices strongly desired
  • Successful candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and demonstrates strong communication and organization skills. Candidate is able to take initiative, manager and prioritize multiple projects, and work well with or without direct supervision

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would have experience with various RF technologyies, 2.4GHz and 5GHz (Bluetooth, Zigbee, IEEE 802.11, FM, etc), Microchip, NXP and ST ARM based processors, Apple product standards and specifications. USB connectivity, digital audio and experience with Agile PLM also helpful.
