Griffin Technology Presents Next Generation of Favorite Designs
Come Visit the Griffin Booth at North Hall #4006
Las Vegas, Consumer Electronics Show — January 6, 2010 — Griffin Technology Inc., maker of ingenious ways to power, play, protect and connect, today announced its line of refreshed products for 2010. Several classic Griffin auto accessory designs have been updated, including: RoadTrip, iTrip Auto, TuneFlex AUX and PowerJolt SE. They are on display in the Griffin booth, North Hall #4006, in the iLounge Pavilion.
"Griffin built its reputation designing products that make everyday life easier," said Paul Griffin, Founder and CEO of Griffin Technology. "We are proud to continue that tradition by presenting the next generation of these classic designs."
Griffin's updated products for 2010 include:
RoadTrip holds an iPhone or iPod securely in place on a flexible steel neck via a cleverly redesigned charging cradle that accommodates most cases. RoadTrip's built-in FM transmitter sends music wirelessly to the car's FM radio, filling the car stereo speakers with music. Griffin innovations and user-centric design make RoadTrip standout, with features like SmartScan one-button setup, which finds the best FM frequency and performs the setup automatically. State-of-the-art RDS technology displays track information on RDS-enabled car radio displays. Griffin SmartSound technology analyzes the signal and adjusts the output to make sure the music sounds great. A simple, three button interface allows users to play, pause, skip tracks and access all of RoadTrip's features, without ever taking their eyes off the road. The new RoadTrip also allows app integration with iTrip Controller app, a free download from the iTunes App Store.
iTrip Auto combines Griffin's renowned FM transmitter technology with an integrated charger that plugs into a car's cigarette-lighter or accessory socket. As with all Griffin products, setup and operation are quick and easy. Press the SmartScan button and tune the car radio to the frequency iTrip chooses for you. It's that simple. (But, of course, you can also select frequencies manually.) Other features include inline remote controls, RDS transmission, assignable presets, stereo and mono play modes, and SmartSound signal adjustment. Add app integration for iPhone and iPod touch with Griffin's iTrip Controller app, a free download from the iTunes App Store, and iTrip Auto is the most advanced iTrip ever.
Griffin's TuneFlex AUX is the easiest way to play iPod or iPhone through the car's built-in auxiliary audio input. A flexible steel neck supports the device securely in its charging cradle, cleverly redesigned to accommodate most iPod and iPhone models, without removing them from their cases. TuneFlex's on-board preamp passes the audio signal along to the car stereo via the included audio cable. The result is clear, powerful audio, no matter where you travel.
Griffin's PowerJolt SE sports a low-profile cigarette-lighter adapter and a powerful 1 amp charging circuit that means fastest-possible charging levels for your iPhone or iPod. A durable integrated coiled cable stretches to 7 feet, and an onboard LED lights up when PowerJolt is properly connected. With its built-in self-resetting SmartFuse, PowerJolt SE protects as it charges.
Also available is PowerJolt SE Mobile, featuring interchangeable mini- and micro-USB adapters for charging all kinds of mobile devices.
