Griffin Technology Wants to Power, Protect, and Connect Your Mobile Device
Griffin Offers a Variety of Accessories for an Array of Devices
Nashville, TN — December 15, 2010 — Griffin Technology Inc., maker of innovations for everyday life, today shared plans for their initiative in Mobile device accessories. The announcement builds upon Griffin's status as leaders in personal technology, and represents the company's commitment to bring popular Griffin products—from cases to power, car accessories, and more—to top new mobile, smartphone, and tablet devices. Included in the announcement are two new mobile-ready auto devices, set to debut during the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 6th through 9th, 2011: iTrip® Universal and Window Mount.
"With new mobile technologies popping up all the time, clear leaders are emerging," said Jason Collins, Mobile Category Manager at Griffin. "We're not new to the mobile device market, but now we're taking device-specific steps to introduce Griffin to new audiences of device owners."
No matter their device preference, all mobile device owners need to keep their favorite tech companion protected, charged, and connected. Griffin's most popular protective products, including iClear®, Motif®, Reveal®, Outfit®, and Screen Care Kits are now available for popular platforms like BlackBerry, HTC, Motorola, Samsung, and others, with new device compatibilities being added all the time. Visit www.griffintechnology.com/device_types/mobile for the most up-to-date information.
With the standardization of USB power and 3.5 mm audio connections, charging and connecting your mobile device is easier to do than ever. For charging, Griffin's range of universal USB power products, from the new PowerBlock® Universal Micro to the popular PowerJolt® Plus Mobile, ensure safe, efficient power for most smartphones, mobile devices, and tablets. In-car solutions like WindowSeat® AUX and iTrip Auto HandsFree make for ease of use on the go. Griffin offers a wide array of audio and power cables that make it a cinch to connect mobile devices to computers, home entertainment systems, or car stereos. Griffin has made it easy to compare connection options and choose from its entire range of mobile-compatible devices at www.griffintechnology.com/device_types/mobile.
Also announced today were two new mobile-compatible devices from Griffin, set to debut during CES 2011:
iTrip Universal is an FM transmitter for listening to any audio device through the nearest FM radio. Pop in 2 AAA batteries (included) and use iTrip Universal with any audio source that has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. iTrip Universal works with iPod, iPhone, most smartphones, Zune, and even portable CD players. Griffin design makes iTrip setup and operation a breeze. Two user-programmable presets let you save the best frequencies for easy recall.
Griffin's window/dashboard mount combines an in-car mount with a case-compatible bracket for visibility and safety while using iPod, iPhone, smartphones, and other mobile devices in your car.
The Griffin Window Mount uses a ball joint that rotates 360 degrees and swivels to fit almost any window angle. It comes with two mounting options: a super-cling window mount, and an adhesive mounting base for your dashboard or console. The cling base for glass surfaces is stiff and incredibly grippy, to keep device and cradle securely attached to any glass surface in your car. The included dashboard mount is the perfect in-car mounting solution in communities where windshield mounting is not permitted. Either mount accommodates your phone or player without having to remove it from its case, and works with most shell- or skin-type cases. Griffin's Window Mount has been tested with iPod, iPhone, and popular devices from BlackBerry, HTC, Motorola, Palm, and Samsung.
Griffin's Mobile initiative, including iTrip Universal and Window Mount, will be available for demonstration during CES. Attendees can also get a glimpse of Griffin's major new initiative in automotive devices. The unveiling begins January 6th at the Griffin booth, iLounge Pavilion — North Hall #4727.

iTrip Universal, $24.99, and Window Mount, $19.99, will be available in Q1 of 2011. Both will be available for demonstration during CES in the Griffin booth, iLounge Pavilion — North Hall #4727.
