Griffin + Threadless Debuts Collection of Cases for iPod touch
Nashville, TN — May 25, 2010 — Griffin Technology Inc., maker of ingenious ways to power, play, protect and connect, and Threadless, the community-based online t-shirt company, today unveiled a new collection of Griffin + Threadless cases for iPod touch. The new additions to the immensely popular Griffin + Threadless Co-Op Initiative include case designs exclusive to iPod touch, based on these best-selling Theadless t-shirt designs: I Wanna Dance, The Gaming Revolution, Put the Needle on the Record, and Space Needs Color.
The new Griffin + Threadless cases for iPod touch feature a lightweight, single-piece polycarbonate shell, custom fit to iPod touch. The design is low-profile: less than 1mm thick, yet provides ample protection against dust, dings and mediocrity. The result is a case for iPod touch that is a technological statement as comfortable and unique as the t-shirts from which they are derived. The new cases feature these inspired designs, described in the artists' own words:
Put the Needle on the Record — "This is my take on a stock phrase," says artist Steven Bonner. "I thought it would be cool to treat the grooves like stitches on vinyl. Good simple stuff."
I Wanna Dance — "The inspiration for this comes from the movie Dazed and Confused," says artist Robert Gould. "'So, you're not gonna go to law school? What do you wanna do then?' 'I wanna dance!'"
The Gaming Revolution — "I don't want to overcomplicate the idea behind the tee too much," says designer Sean Mort, "so i'll just say this; all consoles (i think) are represented from the NES to PS3, the NES being the home console which brought the gaming industry back to life."
Space Needs Color — "I got a box of watercolors as a present last Christmas, so I said, 'I have to use these.' You know the rest...Thanks, Lapa and Virginia!" says artist Alvaro Arteaga Sabaini.
